What we collect
This website (specstage.com) is a static information site. We collect two kinds of data:
- Analytics: if you accept the cookie consent banner, Google Analytics 4 records anonymized usage data: pages viewed, approximate location, device type, referrer. We use this only to understand which pages people find useful. You can decline at any time and we will not load Google Analytics. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-friendly and uses no cookies.
- Email correspondence: if you email hello@specstage.com to request beta access, we keep your message and reply. We use this only to respond and to send occasional updates about SpecStage. We will not share your email with anyone.
What we do not collect
- We do not track you across other sites.
- We do not sell or share data with advertisers.
How the SpecStage application handles your project files
SpecStage is a desktop application. Project files, UFGS masters, exports, and decision logs remain on your machine.
For AI-assisted analysis, SpecStage sends only the minimum required excerpts and project context (relevant text excerpts and the specification section under review) through a secured inference service to the AI model provider, Anthropic. SpecStage does not store project documents or tailored outputs on its servers; service logs are limited to request metadata (such as timestamps, request sizes, and account identifiers), not document content. Anthropic's commercial API terms specify that inputs sent through the API are not used to train their models.
All AI outputs are returned to your local machine for engineer review and approval before any export. Decision logs and tailored output files are written locally; we do not receive copies.
Cookies
Only one cookie category is used: Google Analytics, gated behind a consent banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. A small localStorage entry remembers your choice so we don't ask again on every visit.
Your choices
You can:
- Decline analytics at any time via the consent banner. Clear your browser's site data for specstage.com to be re-prompted.
- Email hello@specstage.com to request deletion of any correspondence we hold about you.
