Private Beta Terms

These terms govern participation in the SpecStage private beta. They are written in plain language; by using the beta you agree to them.
1. Assistive software
SpecStage is an assistive tool for preparing and reviewing construction specifications. It does not provide engineering, architectural, or other professional services, and it is not a substitute for professional judgment.
2. Professional responsibility
You and your organization remain fully responsible for every specification you produce or issue. All SpecStage output, including AI-generated tailoring decisions, drafts, and coverage findings, must be reviewed and approved by a qualified person before it is issued or relied upon. AI suggestions can be wrong or incomplete.
3. Restricted material
Do not load classified material into SpecStage under any circumstances. Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) may be processed only by prior written agreement with SpecStage. Contact us before loading any CUI-marked documents.
4. Beta access
Access to the private beta is granted at SpecStage's discretion. It is limited to you and your organization, is not transferable, and may be suspended or revoked at any time. Beta features may change, break, or be removed without notice.
5. No warranty
During the private beta, SpecStage is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. You assume responsibility for how outputs are used.
6. Data handling
How project files, exports, and AI processing are handled is described in the privacy policy. In short: SpecStage is a desktop application, your files stay on your machine, and SpecStage's servers do not store your project documents or tailored outputs.
7. Feedback
Feedback you provide about the beta may be used to improve SpecStage without obligation or attribution.
8. Changes
These terms may be updated during the beta. Material changes will be communicated to beta participants.
