By engineers,
for spec professionals.
SpecStage was built by engineers who've sat through too many late-night UFGS tailoring sessions: chasing brackets, hunting fill-ins, cross-referencing host-nation standards by hand.
And it's built for everyone who owns a spec: engineers, specification writers, tailoring leads, and the project teams behind them.
We thought there had to be a better way. So we built one.
What we believe
A few principles that shape the product.
Engineers stay in control
SpecStage proposes; you decide. Every recommendation comes with its rationale, and you keep full approval authority over every export.
Built for UFGS specifically
Not a general-purpose AI assistant. It understands UFGS structure, bracket grammar, host-nation standards, and the SpecsIntact format.
Compatible, not disruptive
Exports SpecsIntact-compatible files, project PDFs, and the Submittal Register your QC handoff expects. Your job folder and delivery format don't change.
Audit-grade traceability
Every decision is recorded with its rationale, context, and review action. If anyone asks why, the answer is in the record.
Federal-first
UFGS has its own conventions, quirks, and users. SpecStage is built for them, not retrofitted from a generic construction tool.
Quiet shipping
We'd rather start carefully, with a few users we can support well, than ship a public product that disappoints.
